Subhas Ghosal joined J. Walter Thompson Company Bombay as an Executive Trainee in 1945. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 1957 and became Chief Executive of Hindustan Thompson in 1974.
He was a Founder-Member and President of Advertising Club, Calcutta. He was President of the Advertising Agencies Association of India, during the years 1977-78 and 1978-79.He was awarded the ISA-Khatau Gold Medal as Advertising Man of the Year in 1968 and was the first to be elected to the Hall of Fame, Advertising Club, Calcutta in 1980.
