Alyque Padamsee

In a career spanning more than 30 years, Alyque Padamsee has had many firsts to his credit. Among them, the honour of being the first and as yet the only Indian to be voted into the International Clio Hall of Fame. He won this recognition for his film on handicapped children, the first Indian film to get a Clio statuette.

Starting his career in advertising with J Walter Thompson, Alyque Padamsee joined Lintas where he moved from Film Executive to copy Chief to Creative

Controller and, in 1980, Chief Executive. Under his leadership the agency had grown to be the No.1 advertising agency in the country. He won the Communicator of The Year Award in 1985 and has made award-winning films on family planning, anti-dowry, national integration and anti-cancer (his Anti- Cancer film won the Lintas Golden Pencil Award for the most creative advertising in the Lintas network of 45 countries in 1992.
