RK Swamy joined as an assistant in the Editorial Department of J Walter Thompson Company (Eastern) Limited in Bombay on May 20 1940. He resigned from HTA after 32 years of service.
Promoted R K Swamy Advertising Associates Pvt Ltd in 1973 and became Chairman of R K SWAMY/BBDO Advertising Pvt Ltd.
Mr Swamy has fashioned and influenced the development of two advertising agencies in his career. The first part of his career was fully devoted to the development of JWT/HTA. The second part of his career has been devoted to the development of R K SWAMY/BBDO.
The successes of both organisations stand testimony to his leadership and entrepreneurial abilities.
